About

I’m a novelist writing accessible speculative fiction that usually has a little cross-genre stuff salted into it. I attended the six-week Clarion West Writers Workshop in 2014 where I studied under John Crowley, Charlie Jane Anders, and Kij Johnson, among others. I’m represented by Rick Lewis at Martin Literary Management.

Aside from reading and writing novels, I’m a pretty enthusiastic walker, urban birder, and D&D player. I live in Seattle with my wife; we have one adult son who also lives here. I’ve also lived in the Bay Area, Tucson, Finland, and Germany.
